There are not enough words to thank the participants, Emily Fein of GBW: The Filling Station, Goldsboro Food Trucks - Skullies Street Q, the Animal Welfare League volunteers, volunteers who exhibited TNR Georgia Tanner Gurley, Angie Burnham Newton, and many, many others for the success of AWL's Cutest Rescue Pet Contest. Citizens of Wayne and surrounding counties stepped up, and the real winners were the homeless, stray, and injured animals who were helped by the success of the fundraiser.

The Filling Station Fundraiser
Animal Welfare League of Wayne County presented its first grant check on Sept 7, 2023! Congratulations to all of the fur babies who have been and will be helped by Rita’s Rescue.
